Kamaya Welch. My name is Kamaya Welch. I am 15 years old, and I have been dancing since I was 2 years old. I attend Alabama School of Fine Arts. I have been attending for going on 3 years. I enjoy the art form of dance and the emotions I can show through it. I love the opportunity to help other dancers to grow and learn. I also love the opportunity to help out in any way I can for such a genuine project.

Hannah French is a rising senior at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She is sixteen years old and has been dancing for fourteen years. She has attended summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Nashville Ballet, Alabama Ballet as well as Brenau’s Emerging Choreographer Workshop. Hannah’s works have been performed at the Magic City Art Connection and Alabama Dance Festival. Hannah is very excited to be a part of The FILES Arts Project!!

Christina Ray Norman (Birmingham, AL) is a rising Junior at the Alabama School of Fine Arts where she has attended for the past four years. Since the age of two, she has trained in all types of dance. She has been extended opportunities, scholarships and summer intensive offers from Alabama Ballet, Gus Giordano Dance, Brenau University, Alvin Ailey, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Montgomery Ballet, ABT, Ballet Austin, American Dance Festival Pre-Professional Dance Intensive (PDI), and Rolle Project. She has performed in the Nutcracker, Graffica Live, Birmingham Civil Rights 30th Anniversary Gala, and Sleeping Beauty. Christina is the current titleholder for Miss North Jefferson Area’s Teen. She loves to give back and volunteers at Community Kitchens and with Down Syndrome Alabama. This summer she will attend Alonzo King Lines in San Francisco, CA.

Miley Champagne (she/her) is from Birmingham, Alabama. She is currently a sophomore at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Miley has performed works by an array of choreographers, including Germaul Barnes, Wes Chapman, Shawn Black, Margi Cole, and Teri Weksler. She has performed in the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, La Sylphide, La Bayadere, and Etudes. She has enjoyed her many roles at Alabama School of Fine Arts, Magic City Ballet, and Alabama Ballet while maintaining a perfect g.p.a. Miley is thankful to God, family, friends, her cat, and ASFA staff for their endless support and is excited to perform for many more audiences to come.

Morgan Waters is a Birmingham native that attends The University of Alabama at Birmingham. For the past eight years, She has volunteered with The
F.I.L.E.S. Arts Project. She has worked in every area of the organization including fund-raising, marketing, planning and organization of events, social media, technical duties such as operating the sound and light board during performances and volunteering at all events. |
Andre Howard Il was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and attended Carver Senior High School as the salutatorian. He was a student-athlete at The University of
Alabama at Birmingham and has now transferred to Tuskegee University where he will continue his education and athletic career. Andre is a Computer Science major with a minor in International Business. Andre is a hardworking and committed person. He is the person willing to work the hardest and true blue friend that will stand by his teammates and organization members to ensure the success of the entire organization. |
Alexandria "Alex" Fuller (Birmingham, Alabama) is a graduate of Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA), and currently attending Troy University, majoring in Communications with a minor in Dance. She has trained in mostly all forms of dance, but particularly loves commercial, jazz funk, and hip hop styles. She has received offers, scholarships, and summer intensive scholarships from multiple universities, schools, and companies such as; Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Joffrey Ballet: New York, Alvin Ailey, The Hartt School, Hollins University, Troy University, etc. Her future plans with her dance career after college is to audition for NBA Dance Teams to prepare her for one of her long term goals of dancing for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and/ or dancing with different music artist to reach her ultimate goal of dancing with Beyoncé.

Michael A. Charles (Birmingham, AL) attended The University of Alabama where he was a double major in Theatre & Dance. He began his dance training at Divine Dance School of Performing Arts in Birmingham. Michael attended Shades Valley High School and Hueytown High School, where he continued his studies in dance. Michael has also attended numerous dance conventions such as Intrigue, The Intensive, and Kimmestry. Recently, he has been in a host of productions throughout the southern United States. Michael has been in noted productions like Dreamgirls (Little Albert/ Ensemble), The Color Purple (Ensemble), Beauty & The Beast (Ensemble) at Red Mountain Theatre Company; he was also in A Chorus Line (Richie) at Virginia Samford Theatre. He's currently a Company Dancer at AROVA Contemporary Ballet.

Taylor Bagley (Birmingham, AL) is an ambitious artist. Currently, she attends Troy University as a junior who studies Psychology with a minor in Dance. She has many years of experience in performance and choreography with professional training in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. Taylor is an optimistic and adventurous soul who is eager to accept challenges and take risks. She poses as a leader who influences those around her to live freely and be the best version of themselves. As she continues to flourish, she takes all that she has learned as a means of being service to others. Through the art of dance, she has been exposed and encouraged to explore different facets in strength, ability, and self-fulfillment. Her aspiration is to continue to explore herself as an artist through movement and share her qualities and knowledge with others.
